קיבלתי את הספר מדוד שלי כשהייתי בת 16. התחלתי לקרוא את הפרולוג ומהר מאוד התייאשתי והנחתי אותו בספריה כדי שיעלה אבק.
חזרתי אליו רק לאחר הפרק הראשון של משחקי הכס, הסדרה המצוינת של HBO. סיימתי את שאר הספרים שפורסמו תוך חודשיים בערך כי לא יכולתי להפסיק לקרוא.
במקום ללמוד-קראתי, בלילות, כשהייתי אמורה לישון מצאתי את עצמי קוראת וקוראת וקוראת. הספרים האלה הם פאר היצירה וספרי חובה לכל אוהבי הז'אנר. מרטין בנה עולם מפואר ומרתק והחדיר לתוכו חיים.

ספר מעולה

ספר מעולה וסופר מעולה!
אני לא חובבת גדולה של ספרי פנטזיה (מודה ומתוודה שלא קראתי את שר הטבעות...) אך הספר הזה יוצא דופן. הוא סוחף כבר מהפרק הראשון וקשה להניח אותו מהידיים.
למרות שיש דמויות רבות בספר ומספר קווי עלילה, הסופר מצליח להעניק לכל דמות אישיות ועומק והקורא גם מצליח לעקוב אחר רצף ההתרחשויות. ומה שיפה- אין "רע" או "טוב" מוחלטים...
אני ממליצה לקרוא בגרסה האנגלית... פשוט להגיד "שיר של אש ושל קרח" זה לא זה...
והכי כיף- קראתי את הספר בתזמון מושלם. שבוע לאחר סיומו עלתה לאוויר הסדרה של HBO :)
